A quick, flavourful taco recipe using thinly sliced steak, fresh toppings, and tortillas.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb skirt steak or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- Toppings: diced onions, chopped cilantro, lime wedges, salsa, avocado (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and season with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is browned and cooked through.
- While the steak cooks, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked steak in the centre of each tortilla, and then adding your favourite toppings such as diced onions, cilantro, lime wedges, salsa, and avocado.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
